Hello! I’m Dr. Jehangir Asghar!
Veterinarian, Researcher, and Passionate Capybara Advocate
I am a passionate veterinarian currently pursuing graduate studies at the University of Calgary in the field of Disease Diagnostics, with a special focus on infectious diseases and their prevention from a clinical perspective. My career began with a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Pakistan, and since then, I’ve dedicated myself to enhancing my knowledge of animal health, specifically focusing on veterinary epidemiology.
Why Capybaras?
While my veterinary background is rooted in infectious disease, my love for animals goes beyond clinical work. I have developed a special interest in Capybaras, the world’s largest rodents. These fascinating creatures are not only gentle giants, but they also embody the deep bond that animals share with humans. Capybaras have always intrigued me due to their social and peaceful nature, making them ideal companions for those who understand their needs.
